No Clogs Allowed

Following on my my first post on Soap and Glory here is my review on their face mask 'No Clogs Allowed Super Self Heating Deep Pore Detox Mask'
An impressive name but does the product match it?

 I have been having major skin issues recently. My skin used to be oily/normal with a few spots here and there, nothing too bad though. However in the last month or two it has been awful! My skin is also now dry in places and around my jawline and chin I have been having the worst outbreaks ever! Clogged pores and blemishes aswell! So when I saw this is Boots I thought I'd give it a go.

Basically you shake the tube to mix up the product inside and then squeeze out some on your fingers. The instructions say to use a grape sized amount but I probably used double this to ensure a good layer across my face.

You rub it gently into your face and you can feel that its actually quite warm, its a bit weird at first but it makes it feel like the product is really working.

Once you have an even layer of the mask on your face leave it for about 5 minutes and then wash it off, either with water or with the sponge they provide in the box for you.

The sponge feels a little scratchy before you use it, but once it is wet then it feels very soft. I recommend rinsing your face off with just water after using the sponge incase any residue is left over.

 The product itself smells just like those old fashioned lemon sherbet sweets, which was really strong at first but then it died down so I couldn't smell it very much at all. I don't know if everyone would like it but i thought it was nice.

It comes out of the tube looking like a moisturiser with exfoliating bits in, it has a very creamy texture with a slightly blue tinge to it. Which turns completely blue once its on your face and you have rubbed it it.

The Verdict: Well I don't know about all this 'Poreclear Technology' stuff they put on the box but the mask felt like it was doing some good when it was hot, and once I had sponged it off my face did look good, quite radiant and my nose (which is where the majority of clogged pores sit) did look look clearer. I think with use maybe once or twice a week it might keep my face at bay :)
                                 

Soap and Glorious

I'm sure you have heard of the very popular range 'Soap and Glory'.
I for one am a huge fan of theirs. I have tried out many products over the last couple of years and whilst in Boots recently I picked up a firm favourite and some new products to try.

 I will be doing a review of Peaches and Clean in a few weeks after I have tried it out properly and can give an honest and full opinion, although I have so far used it twice (last night and this morning and I am really impressed so far )  The other products I will be blogging about over the next day or so as long as my crummy internet signal continues to work :)   Here is my first review.                                  

The Righteous Butter body butter is a product I have used before in the miniture size I got in a gift set for Christmas. It has that classic Soap and glory scent, not too overpowering but it stays on your skin for hours so every now and then you get a wiff of it. The body butter has Shea Butter and Aloe Vera in it and you can smell the shea butter but there is something else with it that I can't describe, it's a gorgeous scent though.

It does say on the top of the tub that its a very dry skin formula. I do not have very dry skin, maybe slightly dry on my legs but I think you can use this whatever your skin is like. It is especially good after exfoliating or on slightly damp skin after a hot bath.

The product itself looks quite thick but actually is sinks in very easily and doesn't leave a film on your skin which is a plus and you don't need a lot of it, the amount I had on my arm in the picture was enough to use from my wrist to my elbow. This product goes a long way! 

I bought this 300ml tub for £10.50 in Boots but I think at the moment they have a lot of offers on the range and The Righteous Butter is on 3 for 2 :)
